Samantha – Essay Bio
As an aspiring clinical psychologist, Samantha Shapiro seeks to promote introspection in her students. Sam’s love for writing, coupled with her passion for working with high school students, brought her to this work six years ago. Since then, she has helped countless students clearly define and achieve their educational and professional goals.
Sam possesses a strong background in journalism, which gives her a great eye for editing. She won’t shy away from asking tough questions and providing honest feedback, while bringing high energy, enthusiasm, and compassion to every student.
Sam graduated from Princeton University with a Bachelor of Arts in Politics cum laude. She is currently employed at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where she is working on a study that examines adolescent depression in 9th and 10th graders. In her free time, she enjoys running, journaling, and listening to music and podcasts.
