Meet Rocket
Rocket is a steadfast advocate for students finding their ideal college fit. Her work in education began during the height of the pandemic as an essay and interview coach. Helping students navigate seismic changes in their lives inspired her sense of purpose, and she now works as a comprehensive college counselor, driven by her deep commitment to student success.
With unique insight into both the academic and personal aspects of the college admissions process, Rocket helps students craft compelling narratives that authentically reflect their individual dreams and aspirations. Her creativity and encouragement of exploration create opportunities for students to expand their horizons throughout high school and deepen their commitment to interests that bring them joy. She demystifies the admissions process, reducing stress and uncertainty for students and families. By fostering a deep understanding of each student’s unique needs and goals, Rocket empowers them to make informed decisions and ultimately find the college where they will thrive.
From high school course selection and summer program exploration to building effective college lists and guiding essay development, Rocket provides strategic, individualized support throughout the entire college admissions journey.
Education & Experience
Rocket grew up in the DMV and attended School Without Walls, experiencing firsthand the unique pressures faced by students in the area. Rocket graduated cum laude from Harvard University with a B.A. in History & Literature and a minor in Studies of Women, Gender, and Sexuality. Her senior honors thesis, nominated for the prestigious Hoopes Prize, examined the manifestation of the American Dream on Broadway. Outside of Moxie, Rocket works as an actor in NYC. She’s fluent in Spanish and also plays soccer, bakes vegan treats, and dances salsa.
