Sarah Corey

After earning a BA in English from Michigan State University, Sarah Corey taught high school English and AP World History for fifteen years in Durham, North Carolina public schools. Her favorite part of her job was instructing students of differing abilities and from diverse backgrounds how to write clearly and effectively.

When Sarah completed her MS in School Counseling from UNCG, she began the second fifteen years of her education career as a high school counselor, specializing in assisting students in navigating the college application process. Over the years, Sarah has worked with thousands of pupils and has found her passion is helping learners craft their writing so it is not only engaging, but also shares their unique voice. She has found this provides a distinct advantage and fosters student success on college applications and school-specific essays.

In her free time, Sarah backpacks and hikes with her two Golden Retrievers, Maizie and Chance.
