Resources for College Planning
At Moxie College Counseling, we cut through the noise surrounding college admissions to give our students reliable and clear guidance. In addition to providing sound counsel, we also point high school students and their families to trustworthy resources, which can be useful tools to navigate high school planning and college admissions. Below you will find a sample of some of these resources.
There is a lot of information out there about college admissions, and unfortunately, not all of it is accurate. Treat the information you find just like anything else. Vet your source, compare it to others, check the dates, and run them by your trusted advisers. The college admissions landscape is constantly shifting, so it’s important to rely upon tried-and-true resources for college planning.
For your college search, we recommend a number of websites. There you will find ways to filter for specific college types, a list of test-optional colleges, and a constantly updating list of college campuses that are open for in-person visits. To get a sense of who you are and how you might best embrace your journey through college admissions, check out the talks and books we’ve listed below. These people know what they’re talking about. So do we. If you have any questions or want to chat about what you learn on this page, you’re welcome to contact us.
