Working with Sierra Leickert and Moxie was by far the best part of the college application process for our family and my son. Moxie supported my son in every aspect of his applications from the resume, common application review, individual school website submissions, primary and supplemental essays and even tuition negotiations.
Sierra was the fearless leader of these activities either working directly with my son or substituting other experts (such as resume and essay specialists) at Moxie to support his efforts. Sierra managed the work seemingly effortlessly and always positive with a smile on her face; developing timelines, setting and achieving goals in each session and following up with summary messages of accomplishments and next steps.
My son is neurodivergent and was a reluctant participant in every way, but she reached him on a personal level to help determine his college aspirations and to create a total and uniform application reflecting those desires and his authentic story supporting that dream. He was admitted to many schools in competitive engineering programs which I attribute in large part to Sierra’s unwavering support creating cohesive applications that effectively told my son’s story. He was willing to work with Sierra with minimal complaint and she was able to prompt him to work hard and to recognize his achievements.
Additionally, she served as a valuable and regular guide throughout the process for the parent perspective of application strategies and college fit. We all leaned on Sierra for every aspect of the process for over a year and she came through promptly and enthusiastically every time.
Sierra is a jewel and my experience with Moxie was phenomenal.
